Ali Jamali Qomi, head of statistics, planning and human resources in Iran’s Management and Planning Organization, described the annual goals for governmental employment in the new Persian fiscal year. In his remarks he stated, “According to our plan a recruitment test will be held twice a year, the first examinations will be held in June and the next round of examinations will be held in November.
In the first phase 8,000 people will be recruited into the job market”.
Reporting on this issue, the state-run Quds Online stated, “2,800 of the participants will be chosen, of which 2,284 will be men and 16 jobs will be given to women. 500 other posts will be distributed between men and women. Distributing only 16 jobs to women, means less than 1%, and this is a very controversial development.”
