“Percentage of job-creating women in Iran is very small,” announced Vahideh Negin, advisor to the Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare.
Negin said, “Women’s participation is not just having the right to vote,
but they should have political and economic participation, which is unfortunately non-existent in Iran.”
The Labor Ministry’s advisor admitted, “87 per cent of women are inactive in the economic arena and more than half of those who are active are engaged in the service sector.”
