Nearly 39% of educated women with higher education in Gilan are unemployed and have not been able to find jobs, said Fatemeh Rafi’ie, director general of women and family affairs in Gilan Province.
Rafi’ie also shed light on the dropping percentage of women taking part in economic fields.
“According to our latest figures, the participation of women in economic and investment activities has decreased,” she said.
“Nearly 47% of educated women in Iran are unemployed,” Rafi’ie said, adding, “The number in Gilan Province is nearly 39%, consisting of women who have higher education yet have not been able to find jobs.”
