Following the Paris terror attacks, Sholeh Pakravan, mother of Reyhaneh Jabbari who was executed in Iran in October 2014 after she defended herself to rape, sent a message to the people of France expressing her sympathy and condolences.
“The killings in Paris are no different from the killings in Lebanon, Sudan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Afghanistan. All resulting in the killing of people and loved ones being buried, tearful eyes and wounded hearts,” she wrote.
“Insecurity has covered the beautiful city of Paris… It no longer matters where on earth you live; everywhere is insecure. Noble human beings on earth, who are very high in numbers, have to react vis-a-vis any organized inhumane act…”
