Saniya Yubenevich, a Croat-Swedish citizen living in Iran, who was arrested by the Revolutionary Guards intelligence on December 13,
said in her last phone call with her family that she was being interrogated about women’s affairs in Iran, whereas according to her relatives she was never involved in any such activities.
Her husband, art professor Mehdi Dadkhah who was arrested along with his wife, remains in limbo after much interrogation in Amir Abad Prison of Gorgan, northern Iran.
Yubenevich, naturally a Croat with a dual citizenship from Sweden, travelled to Iran in 2004. She is 48 years old, suffers from MS and is under medical treatment. She is in desperate need of special food and special medication sent for her from Sweden.
