The State Security Force has arrested 1200 internet users, including some 300 women, in Iran over eight months from March to November 2016, for their activities in social networks.
This was announced by the SSF Commander of Tehran, Hossein Sajedi-Nia.
Sajedi-Nia announced that 986 men and 298 women had been arrested in eight months. They are accused of disseminating false information, audio and video clips on the internet.
