The mullahs’ supreme leader Ali Khamenei once again reiterated his misogynist views regarding women’s bicycling and activities on the internet.
Under the pretext of responding to religious questions, he said speaking, teasing and laughing with the other sex on the cyber space, whether in the form of text, voice and video or even a mere like or follow would create a corrupt atmosphere and were not permissible.
In response to another question, he conditioned every contact on the internet on “temporary marriage” and went on by describing the conditions for a religious marriage.
Khamenei reiterated that “women’s bicycling in public areas and in places that could be seen by strange men is not allowed.” (The state-run ILNA news agency – November 26, 2017)
