Woman political prisoner Golrokh Iraee is in dire conditions on the 30th day of her hunger strike.
Ms. Iraee is detained on internal exile in the notorious Qarchak Prison in Varamin, Tehran Province.
She started her hunger strike on February 3, 2018, in protest to the breach of the principle of separation of different prisoners’ categories and the unlawful transfer of her and her inmate, Atena Daemi from Evin Prison.
In a brief contact from Qarchak, Atena Daemi told her mother that Golrokh Iraee is not able to walk and she has lost 10 kilograms.
Ms. Iraee and Ms. Daemi are resistant political prisoners who sent messages to young Iranian protesters during the uprising in January and encouraged them to be brave and remain steadfast in their protests.
