NCRI WOMEN'S COMMITTEE

Works extensively with Iranian women outside the country and maintains a permanent contact with women inside Iran. The Women’s Committee is actively involved with many women's rights organizations and NGO's and the Iranian diaspora. The committee is a major source of much of the information received from inside Iran with regards to women. Attending UN Human Rights Commission meetings and other international or regional conferences on women’s issues, and engaging in a relentless battle against the Iranian regime's misogyny are part of the activities of members and associates of the committee.

IWD Conference in Brussels – March 2017

 

On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, a meeting was held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at the Belgian Parliament to discuss the plight of Iranian women under the theocratic rule of the mullahs. Belgian MPs, MEPs and a delegation from the Women's Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, headed by Sarvnaz Chitsaz participated.

The NCRI office and representatives of the Iranian Resistance observed the International Women’s Day on March 16, 2017, in the company of a number of German members of parliament, personalities and women’s rights activists as well as representatives of Iranian women’s associations in various states of Germany.

The International Women's Day was observed by a conference in Bucharest, Romania, on Tuesday February 28, 2017, where participants paid tribute to the women of the Iranian Resistance.

In an early celebration of International Women’s Day, a cross party group of MPs highlighted the systematic discrimination and marginalization of women in Iran at a conference in the House of Commons on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

A delegation from the NCRI Women's Committee met with Ms. Estela Barnes de Carlotta, President of the Association of the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

A delegation from the Women's Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran participated in an international conference held November 14-17, 2016, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and informed the participants of the plight of Iranian women as well as the campaign seeking justice for victims of the 1988 massacre in Iran.

A conference was held in support of the Iranian opposition's “Justice Seeking Movement” at the University of Sassari, Italy, on October 22, 2016. 

The Women's Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran had an online conference Friday evening, May 13, 2016.

An international conference entitled, "Different Lands, Common Goals", was held from April 21 to 23 in the city of Palermo, Italy
