NCRI WOMEN'S COMMITTEE

Works extensively with Iranian women outside the country and maintains a permanent contact with women inside Iran. The Women’s Committee is actively involved with many women's rights organizations and NGO's and the Iranian diaspora. The committee is a major source of much of the information received from inside Iran with regards to women. Attending UN Human Rights Commission meetings and other international or regional conferences on women’s issues, and engaging in a relentless battle against the Iranian regime's misogyny are part of the activities of members and associates of the committee.

One of the 26 Iranian agencies tasked with cracking down on women is the “Headquarters of prohibiting vice and promoting virtue” which is taking new measures to implement gender segregation in society.

The latest of such measures are special buses for women and separate bicycling grounds.

As it can be seen in the picture, every window of the bus is dubbed with the phrase, "special for women."

The second picture shows a poster on a wall kiosk, reading: “Bicycle riding for women is prohibited in this place. Women are set to ride at the women’s park.” Signed: “Headquarters of prohibiting vice and promoting virtue.”
