NCRI WOMEN'S COMMITTEE

Works extensively with Iranian women outside the country and maintains a permanent contact with women inside Iran. The Women’s Committee is actively involved with many women's rights organizations and NGO's and the Iranian diaspora. The committee is a major source of much of the information received from inside Iran with regards to women. Attending UN Human Rights Commission meetings and other international or regional conferences on women’s issues, and engaging in a relentless battle against the Iranian regime's misogyny are part of the activities of members and associates of the committee.

On 8-9 April 2015, International Congress "Voice of Rural Women in the World" took place at Ciudad Real–Spain.

Maryam Rajavi addressed a video-message to this conference expressing her gratitude to organizers of this conference and explaining difficulties women are facing in Iran and in the Middle East.

Excerpts of speech by Mrs Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) at International Women’s Day conference held in Berlin on March 7, 2015 attended by over a hundred women personalities from five continents:

Dear Sisters, Distinguished Parliamentarians,
I welcome you to the headquarters of the Iranian Resistance, my dear sisters, who have come here from Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, and other countries.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, I pay tribute to all those women who fight for freedom and equality around the world.

March 9, 2013 - Dear Sisters,
I am so delighted to see all of you who have gathered here today, representing women of the world.
On the occasion of the International Women's Day, let me congratulate all of you and my sisters in Iran, in the prisons and around the world, as well as the 1,000 heroines in camps Liberty and Ashraf.

Dear friends, my dear sisters,
I am delighted to join you here at this conference on International Women’s Day and see such a distinguished gathering of elected representatives of different nations, thinkers, advocates of the equality movement and defenders of human rights.

Women members of German Federal Parliament hold meeting to support Iranian women in the uprising and in Ashraf

March 24, 2010 - Women members of German Federal Parliament and activists of equality movement declared their solidarity with Iranian women and those in Camp Ashraf. Mrs. Maryam Rajavi was the keynote speaker in the meeting.

On March 11, 2010, Maryam Rajavi attended a meeting entitled "Finnish solidarity with Iranian women" at the Conference center of the Helsinki.
She addressed the situation of women and their role at the forefront of the
struggle for Freedom and Democracy against the religious fascism ruling Iran.
