NCRI WOMEN'S COMMITTEE

Works extensively with Iranian women outside the country and maintains a permanent contact with women inside Iran. The Women’s Committee is actively involved with many women's rights organizations and NGO's and the Iranian diaspora. The committee is a major source of much of the information received from inside Iran with regards to women. Attending UN Human Rights Commission meetings and other international or regional conferences on women’s issues, and engaging in a relentless battle against the Iranian regime's misogyny are part of the activities of members and associates of the committee.

All of you here today, every year that we have this event in Paris, the crowds grow.

This year we are expecting 100,000 people from every part of the globe, all of you, here to express your desire for freedom for the people of Iran, and democracy. The current regime in Tehran does not represent the Iranian people. The mullahs represent the past.

NCRI - Iranian opposition leader Mrs. Maryam Rajavi is guiding the Iranian people toward obtaining freedom from clerical rule, France's former Human Rights Minister has said.

The US administration ought to support the Iranian Resistance to bring about regime change in Iran, former White House policy advisor Frances Townsend said on Saturday.

United States Congresswoman Judy Chu has said that she is working in Congress to ensure the security or members of the main Iranian opposition group, the Mujahedin-e-Khalq (PMOI/MEK), in Camp Liberty, Iraq, who are currently in danger due to their opposition to the Iranian regime.

Acclaimed female politicians and activists from around the globe attending the 100,000-strong annual Iran Freedom rally in Paris on Saturday paid tribute to the role top opposition leader Maryam Rajavi and the NCRI have played in standing up for women's rights in Iran.

Elaine Chao, a former U.S. Secretary of Labor, was among over 600 political leaders and dignitaries that attended the recent major gathering of the Iranian opposition in Paris.

The largest gathering of the Iranian Resistance was held In Paris on Saturday with over 600 legislators and distinguished political figures from various political affiliations and prominent jurists attending the event.
