NCRI WOMEN'S COMMITTEE

Works extensively with Iranian women outside the country and maintains a permanent contact with women inside Iran. The Women’s Committee is actively involved with many women's rights organizations and NGO's and the Iranian diaspora. The committee is a major source of much of the information received from inside Iran with regards to women. Attending UN Human Rights Commission meetings and other international or regional conferences on women’s issues, and engaging in a relentless battle against the Iranian regime's misogyny are part of the activities of members and associates of the committee.

Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, chairwoman of the Middle East and North Africa Subcommittee, in the US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee,

welcomed safe relocation of PMOI/MEK residents from Camp Liberty to Albania. In her twitter, she wrote, "Glad to hear the good news that all MEK residents from Camp Liberty have been transferred safely to out of Iraq and away from Iranian threats."

Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen is an old friend of the Iranian Resistance and her efforts have been crucial in the resolutions and amendments passed by the US Congress to ensure safety and security of Camp Liberty residents and their safe resettlement.
