In the latest report by Iran’s Statistics Center, the country’s public unemployment rate is 10.5%. It has been announced that men have a 9.1% and women have 18.9% unemployment rates. According to these statistics, the rate of men’s unemployment has improved compared to that of women’s, yet women are still looking for jobs.
Based on the report by Iran’s Statistics Center, the rate of men’s unemployment reached 10% last winter. This is while the rate of women’s unemployment, especially in towns and villages reached 47%. This shows that there are more unemployed women in the country.
Based on these statistics, the rate of unemployed women in villages and towns was 47.2% while the rate of unemployed women in cities has reached a high record of 54.1%. Unemployed women are mostly between the ages of 15 to 29.
