A number of women and children were among those injured and wounded at the gathering held yesterday by the Dervish community, where protesters were viciously attacked by police forces and intelligence agents. Including Ms. Maryam Feisani, who was punched in the face by a security agent and Ms. Nazanin Safari whose hand was broken by baton strikes.
A mothers of an imprisoned Dervish said in an interview posted on the Internet, “We have come to say: either detain us and take us to prison too or go and see what the demands of our childrens are. It has been more than 16 days since they have been on hunger strike. There are two-month old infants to 70 year-old elderly women here. They attacked us with electric shockers and batons and now they are telling to us that we are ISIS while in the past they called us thieves…”
