Mohammad Moghimi, lawyer of jailed artist and civil activist Atena Faraghdani, said, “My client’s case has been referred to the 54th branch of the Appeals Court.” Moghimi explained Faraghdani’s recent illness and said, “She is currently suffering from lymph gland problems. It is necessary for Atena to receive medical treatment for this.”
The charges raised against Faraghdani are assembly and collusion against national security, propaganda against the system and insulting the leader, insulting members of the so-called parliament and insulting agents of ward 2-A of Evin Prison during her interrogation. This ward in Evin is under the control of the Revolutionary Guards.
