Seyed Hassan Hifdah-tan, Rouhani’s deputy labor minister referred to the dire conditions of women’s participation in Iran’s economy and said, “Currently, the numbers on women’s participation in the country’s economy is around 15% and their unemployment rates are three times that of men.”
“Right now 11,000 organizations (7,500 laborers and 2,500 employers) are active across the country. However, women have no presence in these entities,” he added.
