Ahmad Zargar, secretary of the Headquarter to Enjoin Virtue and Prohibit Vice, said the scope of crackdown against women and youths in Iran’s society are very widespread.
“In carrying out duties of enjoining good and forbidding wrong the best and most firm measures are to use people’s capacities. Inside vehicles, public buildings, hotels, hospitals and other public centers are not considered private areas and those seen violating regulations will be dealt with,” he said. “Those condemned on such charges cannot see their punishments decreased, suspended or delayed.” (State-run khabaronline.ir and ISNA news agency – October 18, 2015)
