On the morning of 3 August 2015, four vehicles belonging to security entities, based on a warrant from the Evin court, referred to the home of Amin Anvari Rostami, a civil activist and student of Amir Kabir University,
and after searching his home and confiscating his property arrested and took him to an unknown location.
During the search, security forces confiscated his laptop and cellphones.
After the arrest of this student activist, his mother expressed remarks about his condition. She said that the first time the intelligence ministry called up Amin was in January 2015. “At first, they wanted him to cooperate with them yet when he didn’t accept, they took him for a while and then returned him. They sent him to court. His crime was that he supported some human rights activists.
“On 4 October 2015, four vehicles arrived. They forced us into the cars and said that they want to search our house. They didn’t even have the arrest warrant for Amin, yet they took him. They even ripped away the modem of my home and took my husband and Amin’s laptops.
“My husband is a university professor and does all his work with his laptop. They left nothing behind. The next day I joined a protest and shouted out that I want my child! I referred to Evin several times but no one tells me where my child is. Eventually, the prosecutor told me that since you’ve taken part in the protest, we will not allow you to visit him!
“I say that all these are lies! They uphold their government through lies! I will support my child until the last drop of my blood. I will destroy Evin and free my child! I want everyone to help me free my child, convey my voice to the entire world!”
