Head of the civil and revolutionary courts in Iran’s Lorestan said that judiciary will take action against hijab violators.
“If individuals want to promote appearing in public without proper hijabs, they will face firm legal action by the judiciary,” Hossein Reza Delfan said while emphasizing that improper veiling is illegal in Iran.
“Such cases will be dealt with in the shortest possible time. People appearing without proper hijab in public areas, will be fined or condemned from 10 days to 2 months prison,” he said referring to a special branch allocated to deal with hijab violations.
