An American writer, Randy Noble, published his book about Reyhaneh Jabbari, the young woman who was hanged by the clerical regime in November 2014,
for bravely defending herself against rape by a top official of the Intelligence Ministry.
Mr. Noble wrote “Reyhaneh, A Beautiful Fragrance” by interviewing her mother, Sholeh Pakravan, through an Iranian residing in Malaysia. This is the first book published abroad about the story of Reyhaneh Jabbari.
In announcing the news of this publication in her Facebook account, Ms. Pakravan noted, “She echoed the voice of millions of women who have been discriminated against before and after her. My Reyhaneh turned into a butterfly. Her flight was in agony but she turned into a candle that lights up the way for millions of honorable men and women, to stand tall and create values in today’s bloody world. She cried out with her soul that death is not the end of life. So, long live life, even after death.”
