Ms. Ghadam Kheir Faramarzi, mother of death row Sunni prisoner Shahram Ahmadi, wrote to the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in Iran, Mr. Ahmad Shaheed.
In her letter, she wrote: “For eight years, we have not had any good days. They executed my first son, Bahram. Now, they want to execute (my other son,) Shahram. He has been detained incommunicado since three years ago. I’m sure you can imagine the suffering of a bereaved mother whose son has been executed?”
She added, “The Sunni Kurds in this country must also enjoy the right to life, but the regime has made life unlawful for us!”
Ms. Faramarzi appealed to Mr. Shaheed to do whatever in his power to save the life of his son.
