“A glance at more than 30 higher councils in the country shows that women’s membership in these institutions is less than one per cent and their participation as council’s secretary is zero.”
An expert on technology and economy, Pourandokht Niroumand, announced this and added, “Women’s participation in the managerial board of insurance companies is less than 2%. We have no women working as president of organizations, deputy ministers, president of government companies and institutes, except two positions of deputy minister in the Oil Ministry and the Ministry of Youths and Sports, which have been granted to women; otherwise, there are no women appointed as deputy ministers.”
As for presidency and management of universities, she added, “Women have zero participation in the faculty or presidency of major universities across the country. When a man is appointed to the management network, he keeps his post as long as he lives, but the situation is different for women.”
