Ms. Homa Hoodfar, an Iranian-Canadian citizen, has been transferred from Evin Prison to hospital.
The family of this prisoner issued a statement on August 30, 2016, in which they said that Ms. Hoodfar can hardly walk. She suffers from dizziness and extreme weakness, and contracts seizure headaches.
Homa Hoodfar, 65, is a retired professor of anthropology at Concordia University in Montreal Canada who was arrested on June 6, 2016, while on a visit to Iran. She is prohibited from leaving Iran. She was an active campaigner for ending practice of stoning in Iran.
