A Syrian student confronted the lifeless body of her brother in the dissection class.
Her brother had been stopped at a checkpoint by the regime’s military forces three years before and was missing since.
The 20-year-old Khouleh said her professor was happy that the class had received a fresh body for dissection. But when the body was uncovered, Khouleh recognized her own brother.
Despite being terribly shocked, Khouleh realized that revealing the victim’s relationship with her would put her and her family in jeopardy. So, she pretended to have passed out and was helped out of the class.
Khouleh said her mother was still praying day and night for her son’s release from prison.
