Bahaii woman, Farinaz Mokhtari, was expelled from the Technical and Professional College of Birjand because of her faith.
According to an informed source, Ms. Mokhtari received a call on December 25th and was told to report to the dean of the college to receive her papers the next day, December 26, 2016.
The next day, when Ms. Mokhtari referred to the dean of college, she received papers indicating that she was deprived of continuing her education.
According to a bill ratified on February 25, 1991, by the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, Bahaii’s are deprived of employment and university education.
Birjand is the capital of the south Khorasan Province in northeastern Iran.
