Officials of the University of Oil Industries in the southwest Iranian cities of Abadan and Ahwaz have threatened to cancel registration of the students who have been on strike for one week.
The threat was made in calls made to the students’ parents on Friday, November 24, 2017. University officials say the students should attend their classes or their registration for the term will be cancelled.
Students of Oil Industry have been on strike since a week ago, refraining from attending their classes in protest to not being directly employed by the Ministry of Oil and incompetence of university officials.
