Women plundered by the fraudulent Caspian financial Institute staged another picket line outside the company’s branch in Golsar, Rasht, capital of Gilan Province in northern Iran.
These women demand their deposits back and on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, they put adhesive tapes on their mouths as a symbolic act of protest.
The large banner carried by the protesting women in Rasht read, “In a country where Imam Ali’s justice must rule, the thieves are free and the plundered are threatened, arrested, imprisoned and put on trial.”
According to the protesters, they have been protesting and following up their cases for 16 months, to no avail. Instead of reimbursing their deposits, they have only been threatened with arrest.
Another group of plundered men and women gathered outside the Vali Asr Credit Coop in Nasim Shahr, in Tehran Province, on Monday, March 5, 2018, demanding their deposits back. Women’s presence among the protesters was prominent.
Also a group of young women studying at Hakim Sabzevari University, in Razavi Khorassan Province in northeastern Iran, staged a protest on Sunday, March 4, 2018, against low speed of internet at their university. They gathered outside the dormintory to express their complaint.
