The Women’s Committee is actively involved with many women's rights organizations and NGO's and the Iranian diaspora. The committee is a major source of much of the information received from inside Iran with regards to women. Attending UN Human Rights Commission meetings and other international or regional conferences on women’s issues, and engaging in a relentless battle against the Iranian regime's misogyny are part of the activities of members and associates of the committee.

Fresh news from Iran indicates a young woman by the name of Neda Ahmadi has been arrested in Orumiyeh.

Neda Ahmadi, student of Economics at Tabriz University, was arrested on Saturday, December 30, 2017, in Orumiyeh, capital of West Azerbaijan Province, NW Iran.

Despite claims that the arrestees have been released, there has been no information available on Neda Ahmadi since she was arrested 10 days ago.

Another young woman, Touran Mehran, a student, has also been arrested in Orumiyeh.
