Iran: Nine female political prisoners in Evin prison go on hunger strike

Nine female political prisoners in Evin prison’s 350 ward went on hunger strike to protest brutal attack by prison security personnel. Attackers included 20 women torturers who carried out a body check and attacked and physically and psychologically tortured political prisoners.

Simultaneously, 26 political prisoners from Gohar Dasht prison in the city of Karaj issued a statement protesting the attack to female political prisoners in Evin prison by suppressive forces. They called such treatment inhuman and illegal and expressed their concern to the health of prisoners on hunger strike in Evin prison’s ward 350.
