Iran: Guidance patrol chasing mal-veiled in Tehran streets

A state-run media outlet reported on 19 May, “Patrols confronting improper clothing and mal-veiling has been set-up in Tehran’s main streets. Based on reports, agents are seen stationed in major roads and taking action against women with improper clothing and hijab.”

According to the plan that started on 17 May, State Security Forces agents are assigned to board women into their vehicles based on the pretext of improper veiling.
