Negar Haeri, jurist and former political prisoner of Gharchak Varamin Prison, was summoned to Evin Prison’s prosecutor office and arrested after interrogation and threats by the agents. The henchmen transferred her to ward 209 belonging to the Revolutionary Guards’ intelligence branch.

Haeri had been arrested three times before, spending 8 months in the notorious Gharchak Varamin Prison the last time. She was summoned and threatened many times for providing free advice to families of both political prisoners and those executed.

Her father, Mashallah Haeri, was arrested following the 2009 popular uprisings on charges of supporting the PMOI. He has been in Rajaie Shahr Prison ever since.
