Iran: agents’ threats lead to internal brain bleeding for mother in grief

Political prisoner Amir Anvari, who was recently released from prison and escaped Iran, wrote in his Facebook page that his mother has suffered a brain stroke.

Anvari said threats issued by Ministry of Intelligence agents were the cause of his mother’s stroke. The text of Amin Anvari’s post is as follows:

“My interrogator called my home and threatened to arrest my mother and father. He also told them he will have me returned to the country through different methods such as Interpol, and there is a heavy sentence waiting for me there. He also threatened to broadcast fake footages of confession that I had given in detention center 2-A of the Revolutionary Guards Intelligence branch. He also threatened to have me attacked in Turkey.

“My mother suffered a brain stroke due to the immense psychological and mental pressure, and is currently in dire conditions.”
