The Iranian regime has stepped up repression of women and youths, by launching a series of raids on night parties, and flogging those arrested.
Twelve young women and 17 young men were arrested Wednesday night, June 3, 2016, in a garden party in the central province of Alborz. A T.V. and movie actress identified as “K” was also among those arrested. (State-run Jam website – June 5, 2016)
In another development, the SSF forces attacked a night party in Tehran and arrested six women and seven men. A few vehicles were also impounded. (State-run Alef website – June 5, 2016)
