Iran: Old woman peddler beaten up with electric shocker

Forces of the municipality of Ahwaz attacked and wounded a woman peddling in the street on December 6, 2016. She was hit by electric shockers.

The son of the defenseless woman explained the attack by municipality forces as the following:

“A group of ten men from the Municipality’s Implementation Office, armed with shockers, walked into Khansari Street on December 6, 2016. My 70-year-old mother sets up her stuff in front of my own shop. They attacked her with electric shockers and threw her to the ground.”

Ahwaz is the capital of the southern province of Khuzistan.
