According to the latest statistics provided by the National Registration Organization, the rate of divorce in Iran has reached 20 per hour.
The state-run Mehr news agency wrote, “According to the statistics provided by the National Registration Organization, 135,667 cases of divorce have been registered from March to December 2016. This means that 20.4 persons are added every hour to the category of divorcees in the country.” (The state-run Mehr news agency – January 7, 2017)
