Iran: Women mountain climbers express solidarity with porters

A number of Iranian women climbed the Damavand mountain, north of Tehran, to commemorate the defenseless porters arbitrarily killed by the State Security forces on the western border of Iran.

In recent days, mass protests have been held in the city of Baneh (Iranian Kurdistan Province) in protest to the systematic and arbitrary killings of porters who earn a living by carrying heavy weights. They are shot and killed indiscriminately by the SSF.
