Ileana Ros Lehtinen, chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Sub-Committee on the Middle East and North Africa at the US Congress, tweeted a message in support of Iran uprising.
She said in her message, “Brave women + men continue to protest the theocratic + authoritarian #Iran regime despite facing arrest or worse. I applaud #StateDept for condemning the arrest of 29 Iranians + supporting their #humanrights. Responsible nations must do the same #IranProtests”
