Detained nurse Bahareh Soleimani transferred to women’s ward of Evin

Detained nurse Bahareh Soleimani has been transferred to the women’s ward of Evin Prison after completion of her interrogations. Intelligence Ministry forces arrested Bahareh Soleimani on October 16, 2020, and detained her in solitary confinement in the IRGC Intelligence Ward 2A in Evin Prison.

Ms. Soleimani suffers from lung complications due to infection with COVID-19 since she had been attending to COVID patients since the outbreak. She needs urgent medical attendance and treatment.

The family of this detained nurse are worried about fabrication of charges against her. She has been deprived of having access to her lawyer since being apprehended.

Intelligence Ministry forces ransacked her family’s house and her own house in Tehran. During the inspections they confiscated her personal belongings such as her computer, cellphone, books, CDs and floppy disks.

Ms. Soleimani’s family referred to the Evin Courthouse on October 18, 2021, and inquired about her. But they were told that their daughter is being held in a high security section and in solitary confinement. They could only visit her after her status is determined.

Bahareh Soleimani is 43 and resides in Tehran.
