Political prisoner Fatemeh Mosanna is surviving on intravenous (IV) injection.

Fatemeh Mosanna, 53, the mother of two children, has been in prison for seven years. Her health is in dire condition, and her life is in danger.

Fatemeh Mosanna is presently suffering from enteric fever, and her intestines cannot absorb food. Two serum bags are injected into her daily, and she is either hospitalized or on the way to the hospital.

The doctors’ diagnosis is that Fatemeh Mosanna should not be under stress, and she cannot bear the prison conditions. She has gone unconscious several times due to severe pain. Doctors repeatedly increased her medication dosage and declared that her treatment in prison would not be useful because she should not be stressed.

Nevertheless, she is still detained in Evin Prison, and the authorities prevent her release.

Political prisoner Fatemeh Mosanna must be released immediately and unconditionally for urgent medical treatment.

Fatemeh Mosanna and her husband, Hassan Sadeqi, were arrested on April 9, 2014, for holding a funeral ceremony for his father deceased on January 29, 2014, in Camp Liberty, Iraq, where PMOI members were held under siege.

The couple was later sentenced to 15 years in prison for having contact with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran. The Iranian regime confiscated their house and shop in March 2019. The couple has been deprived of visits for a long time.

Fatemeh was a political prisoner in 1981 and was detained for two years when she was only 13 years old. Three of her brothers were executed that year by the clerical regime.
