A woman was hanged in Lakan Prison of Rasht on Saturday, March 13, 2021. This is the 115th woman executed during Rouhani’s tenure as the clerical regime’s president.

The executed woman has been identified as Maryam Karimi (Massoumeh). She is married with a young daughter. Maryam Karimi was victim of domestic violence. Her request for divorce had not been accepted by her husband.

After the execution of Maryam Karimi, the regime’s agents took her father, also a prisoner, to watch the body of her daughter hanging from the gallows.

The news of the execution of Maryam Karimi has not been published by the regime’s media, yet.

The clerical regime has stepped up execution of women in recent months.

Zahra Esma’ili was hanged at dawn on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at Gohardasht (a.k.a. Rajaiishahr) Prison in Karaj. She was 42 and had two children.

According to her lawyer, she saw 16 prisoners hanged before her eyes. So, she had a heart attack before being taken to the gallows. Nevertheless, prison guards hanged her lifeless body.

Zahra Esma’ili was an innocent woman. She claimed responsibility for the murder of her husband to save her teenage daughter who had shot him in the head.

Alireza Zamani was a managing director at the mullahs’ Ministry of Intelligence. He routinely mistreated and battered his wife and children.

A 23-year-old woman was executed in the Prison of Ardabil on Monday, February 8, 2021.

Iran holds the record of the world’s top executioner with the highest number of citizens executed per capita. It is also the world’s top executioner of women. The executions are grossly unfair.

More than 4300 people have been executed in Iran during Rouhani’s 7-year tenure. They include 115 women.

The actual number of executions and particularly the execution of women is much higher. The clerical regime carries out most executions in secret and out of the public eye. No witnesses are present at the time of execution but those who carry them out.

Iran also holds the world’s record of top. These executions are cruelly unjust.
