On 24 August Fariba Ashtari, Shabnam Motahed and Iman Rashidi, three Baha’i citizens were condemned to 10 years of prison term overall by Yazd’s Revolution Court (central Iran). Fariba and Shabnam were each sentenced to a 3-year hard-labor prison term and Iman to a 4-year hard-labor prison term; all three have protested the decree and are awaiting the ruling of province’s revision court.
They were arrested on mid-summer of 2012 and were released on bail. Their residences in Yazd were searched on Oct. 19th by MOIS agents.
