Last week, two more women were deprived of continuing their education for being Bahaii.
Ms. Mina Mohammadi, resident of Birjand in South Khorassan Province of Iran, was deprived of registeration for Master’s degree. Ms. Ma’edeh Khalili Amiri was also dismissed from Tehran’s Soureh University and deprived from continuing her education.
Based on a ruling ratified on February 25, 1991, by the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, Bahaiis are deprived from employment in public offices and from university education. Of course, private businesses, gathering places and schools of Bahaiis in Iran have not been immune from attacks and destruction.
